Some Christmas Fun, Just for You

Only eight days to Christmas! Can you believe it? How have you been handling the holidays? Are you having fun? Stressed? Wishing it were all over?

Well, whatever your state of mind, stop what you're doing. Right now. I said stop. STOP!

Okay, deeeeeeep breath. Draw it in. Now let it out, nice and slow. Once more, this time with your eyes closed, but only long enough to breathe in and out. Goood. Now, gently roll those shoulders, forward....now backward...and once more. Don't worry about the snap, crackle, and pop--that's supposed to happen. Another deep breath.

Very good. See how easy it is to stop for a moment? To give yourself the chance to slow down and relax? Make sure you give yourself that at least once every day. Yes, I said every day. But that's not all. You need to take a little time to just have fun, too. And I don't know about you, but one of the things I love to do is watch Christmas videos, especially the classics: Rudolf, the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Muppets Christmas Carol,

The Charlie Brown Christmas,

Christmas in Connecticut(the Barbara Stanwyck version), and on and on. And just in case you feel you don't have time to set up the TV and watch these wonderful movies, here's a place to go where you can watch some of them online.

So give yourself a break. Brew a cup of hot chocolate or tea, and settle down. Just for a little while.

You deserve it.

Peace, friends.

Karen

I'm up to my eyeballs with sewing projects, but I'm making sure to put it aside and relax before heading to bed. And God has very kindly whipped up the storm of the decade in our area - we'll be getting 10-20" tomorrow (Sat.) Since I'll be snowed in, I should have time to finish my quilts! HA!!
