I've always loved art. Loved the creative process, love seeing how others interpret and view the world around them. One of my favorite things to do is visit art galleries when I'm traveling. (One of the best? Mountain Trails Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, which features artist Dale Terbush. Stunning!) So when someone shares a new art form with me, I'm not only delighted, I want to share it with others. So that's what I'm going to do!
My friend, Shannon, sent me an email about Emily Valentine's "feather" dogs. What a fascinating and beautiful mix of mediums. Now this is creativity!
Hope you enjoy it!

We used to travel to Sante Fe, NM when I was a kid. My mother actually took some art lessons while there one year. She has a painting of a store that looks very much like this studio that she did. She loved the adobe and flowers.
Since you like different art forms, I thought you might enjoy some pictures of my daughters recent fashion show from her school. Sally created her line out of recycled materials. If you hold your mouse over each slide, there are details of the materials she used....caution tape, trash bags, soda lids & tabs, bread ties. http://boutcrazy.blogspot.com/2009/05/sallys-2009-fashion-show-omore-college.html
When I lived in Edmonton, AB I used to peruse several art galleries. There was an artist that painted the Northern Lights and I wish I could have owned one. Can't remember the artist's name now. His work was before Thomas Kinkade, and while I like Thomas Kinkade's work, it doesn't come close to the Northern Lights.
I also like art with prairie scenes, but few can capture the heart of this country.
