Office Cat

Okay, I know, I know, I'm supposed to do more posts on the state of publishing. And I will. I'm just under some serious deadlines right now, so have to focus on those. So until I can share my thoughts, here are some great comments from others in the know:

Steve Laube comments at Christian Fiction Online Magazine

PW editor Sara Nelson's take on it all

ECPA news of big sellers

A thoughtful post from Angela Hunt on what makes Christian books Christian

Last, thought I'd share with you what happened to me this afternoon. I was sitting here, immersed in the book I'm editing, when suddenly my chair began to quiver and odd sounds came from behind my head. I jumped and turned, and came eye-to-eye with Garfield, who I've finally accepted is my official office cat. When he climbed onto the back of my chair I can't say. It happens so often now I don't even notice. But what I STILL can't get used to is when he gets into a cleaning binge. So here, for your momentary entertainment, is my Office Cat. Making himself beautiful--and obnoxious.

Oh, and that twitching tail? It's usually smacking me in the back of the head while I'm working.

Sigh.

Peace to you today.

Karen

Oh, but he's beautiful. And my daughter's little cat, Jack-Jack (from the Incredibles) is the same color with the same markings. But the eyes are different. Will have to send you a pix of him.

Pets do so love to keep us company while we work! LOL

Actually, with Garfield, it's him reminding me that my job is to keep HIM company. But you're right, he is beautiful.

I hear ya, Karen. I'm more of a dog person but have two cats. They're strange little creatures. Ha! I haven't quite figured them out.
